We are a club comprised of men and women who enjoy fishing, camaraderie, and the great beaches of Long Island

We are a fishing club that encourages its members to fish responsibly with conservation and fairness as a priority and to encourage the community to respect and enjoy nature and the local waters and waterways and to promote through education recreational sport fishing.

Our club meets on the last Thursday of the month at the Mattituck Library. The meetings start at 6:30 p.m.
History of North Fork Anglers Fishing Club – Southold, NY
The year was 2009 when Allyn Young and John Seifert were in the East End Surf Club and in their and other’s opinion the club was going in the wrong direction. They thought about starting a new club to be called the North Fork Anglers. They then contacted Larry Welcome and a few others to see if there was any interest and there was. The first meeting was held in Allyn Young’s office. Allyn Young, John Seifert, Larry Welcome, Rob Koch and Matt Fratello were there.  From there a few locals, friends and other existing East End Surf Club members were contacted. A subsequent meeting was held at the Mattituck-Laurel Library with at least 12 interested potential members. The first slate of officers was: John Seifert – President, Larry Welcome – Vice President, Allyn Young – Secretary and Matt Fratello – Treasurer. Since 2009 the club has grown to almost 50 members.  Meetings are held the last Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Mattituck-Laurel Library.  An annual Club dinner is held the on the Thursday of the week before Thanksgiving.  The December meeting is held the Thursday two weeks before Christmas.   These 2 variations are due to the proximity of our regular meeting dates to Thanksgiving and Christmas.
